Software AG buys PaaS player LongJump

Software AG on Thursday said it acquired LongJump, a platform as a service player for application development.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The company said the addition of LongJump will give it access to departments at large companies as well as small and mid-sized businesses.

LongJump focuses on self-service development, cloud deployment, applications based on template processes and mobile rollouts.

According to Software AG, Long Jump will complement its ARIS, Terracotta and webMethods product lines.

Software AG added that it will have a roadmap of LongJump integration throughout its integration, process and big data product lines "in due course."
