Spotted: Brushed aluminum iPhone 4 for Verizon?

Gizmodo appears to be breaking the news on another new iPhone, although this time the looks and the mobile provider are different.

The Giz has published "crystal-clear" images from an unnamed source of what seems to be the iPhone 4 with a shiny brushed aluminum backside.

And AT&T is not expected to get its grasp on this one as Verizon Wireless is expected to be getting this much sleeker Apple smartphone. Nevertheless, Gizmodo leaves the door open to the possibility that this is just a very good Photoshop job.

If it is real, then I'd be very jealous of Verizon users, not just because of likely reception improvement but also the design on this bad boy is far more attractive than any mobile device we've seen from Apple yet. And with an aluminum casing on the rear, maybe some of those glassgate issues would disappear. Maybe.

Do you think these photos look authentic? And if they are, would you be interested in buying one should it land with Verizon next year?
