StorageNetworks appoints two new execs
StorageNetworks, a company that shifted from hosting large companies' data storage to selling storage management software, named two top executives Wednesday. Joe Quaglia, senior vice president of worldwide sales and business development, previously led sales at Computer Associates' northeast division. And Jan Porell, senior vice president of corporate and product marketing, worked in marketing at EMC. StorageNetworks shares tripled to $90.25 after its initial public offering in June 2000, but since then has been hit by reduced computer technology spending and had to lay off staff.
