Sun Micro earnings soar in fourth quarter

Sun Microsystems Inc. easily topped the consensus analyst estimate in the fourth quarter.

After market close Thursday, the vendor of servers, workstations, software, services and network storage reported fiscal fourth quarter net income of $659.5 million, or 39 cents per share, excluding one-time events.
