Los Angeles, 1 December 1999 -- Tokyo Pop, an online Asian pop culture network, announced today an agreement with Spinner.com to expand its play list with artistes from the Japanese pop music scene. The catalog of Asian musicians, the result of Tokyo Pop's partnerships with key Asian music labels, will be featured over the next year on Spinner.com's Playlist-To-Go.

"Today's music fans, especially teens, are looking for a new sound that can't be found on a Top 40 radio station," said Mixx Entertainment CEO Stu Levy. "By collaborating with Spinner.com, the largest online music service, Tokyo Pop can introduce Americans to a new world of Asian pop music."

Visitors to Spinner.com will encounter a wide range of Asian pop music including garage, techno and rock. Music fans will be able to download the new J-pop sound in MP3 format as well as view information on featured musicians. A link to Tokyo Pop™ will provide users with the opportunity to purchase imported albums and other related products. Featured Tokyo Pop artists include Else, Roboshop Mania, Our Hour, and many, many more.

"Spinner's Playlist-To-Go is a first-of-its kind music aggregation service that offers a convenient way for consumers to grow their music collections, listen to the 'best of the Web', or get new music for their portable music devices. We're delighted to be offering Mixx Entertainment's Tokyo Pop as a part of the 1400 downloadable tracks that are a part of Playlist-To-Go," said Josh Felser, general manager of AOL's Spinner.com.
