Toshiba cuts price on PC card hard drive

Toshiba announced Thursday that it cut the price by up to $100 on its 1.8-inch hard drives that fit into a PC card slot. The hardware manufacturer dropped the price of its 5GB drive from $499 to $399 and its 2GB drive from $349 to $299. The 5GB credit-card-sized drives can hold up to the equivalent of 7.7 CDs worth of information, according to Toshiba. --Richard Shim, ZDNet News
