US trade deficit set a fourth consecutive annual record, growing by 17.5% to $725.8 bln, according to US Commerce Department. That's almost twice as big as the deficit was in 2001 and follows the 24.8% increase in 2004. The nation last had a trade surplus, of $12.4 bln, in 1975.
