VCs back Staples' online efforts

A group of venture capital players have taken out a five percent stake in Staples.com, the online division of Staples Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS). Staples has also named an advisory board, whose members include some of the VC partners as well as eBay CEO Meg Whitman, to guide its online efforts. -- Margaret Kane, ZDNet News
