In-Stat believes the market for chips for very-high-data-rate digital subscriber (VDSL) lines will grow from 6.4 mln chips shipped in 2004 to between 40-60 mln in 2009. That means the market will grow from around $100 mln in 2004 to a multibillion-dollar business.
