Wal-Mart.com suffers fourth crash

Wal-Mart's e-commerce Web site suffered a brief outage Thursday, once again shutting out customers during the key holiday shopping season. Walmart.com spokeswoman Cynthia Lin confirmed that the site was down for about 45 minutes, from about 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. PT. The cause was not immediately determined, she said. Earlier this month, Walmart.com had three outages over a four-day period, triggered by upgrades and improvements at the site, which was relaunched in November with an inventory of more than 500,000 items. - Jane Weaver, MSNBC
