Ever get a little nervous about leaving those important files on your USB thumb drive? (What if I lose it? What if the flash memory doesn't hold up? How will I give that presentation?)

Now there's an easy, official way to keep your files alive: Microsoft USB Flash Drive Manager, a desktop utility that backs up and restores data from USB storage devices.

You can select files or entire drives to back up with the Flash Drive Manager. If you use the same drive for a variety of purposes and need to rotate the data on it frequently, the program can create backup profiles to expedite swapping data.

The Manager is for Windows XP and requires the Microsoft .net Framework 1.1. gHacks reports that once installed, runtime components can be included to provide autorun functionality.
