I saw lots of specialized VOIP phones at the recently concluded Spring VON 2005 conference in San Jose. Last week during a Webcast, I, along with Nemertes Researchexecutive vice-presidentRobin Gariess, talked about the merits of such phones vs. VoIP softphones and PSTN phones hooked up via a router.

Today, I've just learned about a newly released five-phone family from Zultys Technologies. Each phone is under Zultys' ZIP 2 brand. According to Network World Fusioneach model has a rich feature set. Some encrypt voice and SIP signaling traffic, while all have graphicalLCD scrrens, data envryption and speakerphones.

Would your company, (or you) spend $200 or so for a VoIP phone? If yes, what features would you like such a device to have before you dig in to your wallet? Post a TalkBack and let us know.
