BBC's future home gets fibre from BT

News in brief: MediaCityUK inks multimillion-pound comms deal

Telco BT is to build the communications infrastructure for the MediaCityUK complex in Salford Quays, Manchester.

The facility, currently under construction, will house media companies including the BBC.

BT Business will supply MediaCityUK with an optical fibre-based network under a five-year multimillion-pound deal announced this week.
