AOL, Comcast, United are top US ISPs

36% of online users accessed the Web through a high-speed connection in Q4 2003, up from 34% in Q3 2003. In San Diego and Boston more than 50% of Internet subscribers are connected through broadband, in New York it's 49%.

36% of online users accessed the Web through a high-speed connection in Q4 2003, up from 34% in Q3 2003. In San Diego and Boston more than 50% of Internet subscribers are connected through broadband, in New York it's 49%. As for the broadband market, 63% of lines are cable, 37% are DSL.

  1. AOL (28% total)
  2. Comcast (19% broadband, 7% total)
  3. United Online (6% total)
  4. SBC (11% broadband, 6% total)
  5. MSN (6%)
  6. EarthLink (5%)
