Cannavino gets Perot top job

Former IBM top executive James Cannavino has landed the CEO's job at Ross Perot's old company, Perot Systems.

Cannavino was the voice of IBM when it still had serious ambitions to dent sales of Windows with OS/2, and is credited with developing much of Big Blue's operating systems strategy.

Perot, running for US president again, founded Perot Systems in 1988 and his family still owns close to half the company. Perot was once an IBM mainframe salesman before making his billions at EDS.
