Compaq offers server trade-in deals
Compaq is to kick off a three-month trade-in programme that will allow buyers to swap new servers for old and could cost it as much as much as £7 million.
Called Exchange Rates, the scheme lets Compaq customers upgrade Compaq servers and options for new products and claim a rebate worth more than £2,500 on selected servers.
The offer is available with immediate effect but will be pulled at the close of April.
Compaq claims it has sold over 125,000 PC servers in the UK. the firm holds a dominant 43.7 per cent share of the market here, according to Dataquest numbers.
