Five years ago: MicroTouch puts finger on touch-screen demand

US-based touchscreen expert MicroTouch this week aimed to widen the adoption of the technology with a range of devices including a 14.5-inch LCD

The 10.4-inch, 12.1-inch and 14.5-inch touchscreens are based on displays from LCD supplier Taxan, and are targeted at applications such as point of sale, counter services and information kiosks. The 14.5-inch screen has a resolution of 1,024 x 768 and is 2.5-inch thick, said the firm.

The screens are available to OEMs and value-added resellers.
