Market PM: Dow, Nasdaq stage late rally, finish lower

U.S. stocks recovered from a miserable start plunged more than 400 points in early trading before closing off 115 points to 9,975.02. The Nasdaq shed 43 points to close at 3,171.40. IBM Corp. (ibm) plunged $17.50 to $95.50 after it was downgraded on slowing sales figures following its latest earnings report. Intel Corp.
