Microsoft fixes PowerShell problem caused by Windows 10 Anniversary update

Microsoft's August 31 Cumulative Update to Windows 10 Anniversary Update includes a fix awaited by some PowerShell users.
The previous Cumulative Update to Windows 10 Anniversary Update -- the one Microsoft delivered on August 23 (Build 14393.82) broke PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC). The Cumulative Update released yesterday (Build 14393.105) fixes the PowerShell DSC problem, a Microsoft official confirmed when I asked.
When Microsoft released 14393.82, officials knew that a missing PowerShell file would result in DSC problems.
Microsoft explained that due to a missing .MOF (Management Object Format) file in the build package, the update breaks PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC), a feature that can be used by IT admins to manage enterprise environments.
"All DSC operations will result in an 'Invalid Property' error," Microsoft said at the time.
Build 14393.105, yesterday's Cumulative Update, is the third that Microsoft has released to mainstream users (who are not testing Insider preview builds) since the company initially delivered Windows 10 Anniversary Update on August 2.

Build 14393.105, the August 31 Cumulative Update, includes no new features, but includes fixes to a number of bugs, plus general performance and reliability updates, according to the update history notes. The notes make a passing mention of PowerShell fixes as part of the update.
Update: Yesterday's Cumulative Update also fixes freezing issues experienced by some Windows 10 Anniversary Update users when attempting to sign into Windows.
