Software AG has promoted Stuart Rees, who was sales director of the webMethods business division, to be its senior vice president Australia and New Zealand. The position has been vacant since July last year when Colin Brookes, who had been sitting in the role, moved to Japan to take a senior vice president role.
Until now, the company's managing director of its Asia-Pacific region, John O'Malley, has been carrying out the role in addition to his other duties.
With Rees now filling the position, Steve Keys, sales director of the firm's Enterprise Transaction Systems (ETS) business, will add Rees' old role to his own. Before working at Software AG, Rees held sales management positions within IBM in Australia and the UK.
Interwoven also announced an incoming company head, Kyle McManus, was appointed to the role of managing director Australia and New Zealand, replacing Stephen Walker. McManus has worked for Interwoven previously, establishing the brand in the Asia-Pacific region before going back to the US to work in other businesses.
McManus was invited back by Interwoven senior management. "I am delighted to return to Australia to drive Interwoven's business across Australia and New Zealand. The size of the Australian market and the unique landscape provides opportunities for executives to make a difference," he said in a statement.
