News Burst: Motorola stock nears 52-week high

Motorola Inc. shares shot up 2 3/8, or 4 percent, to 63 Monday after NationsBanc Montgomery Securities analyst Mark McKechnie upgraded the chip and telecommunications manufacturer from a "hold" to a "buy" recommendation.

Motorola Inc. shares shot up 2 3/8, or 4 percent, to 63 Monday after NationsBanc Montgomery Securities analyst Mark McKechnie upgraded the chip and telecommunications manufacturer from a "hold" to a "buy" recommendation.

Monday's move brings Motorola within hailing distance of its 52-week high of 66 7/16 set last December.
