PAO debuts notebook speakers
Guildford, Surrey-based mobile peripheral distributor Portable Add-ons (PAO) has released what it claims are the first audio speakers to be specially designed for portable PCs.

Manufactured by the US's New Media, the LapTalk speakers are powered by the PS/2 port and can either attach to the host via a mounting bracket or stand aside from the host. Weighing in at 1lb, the speakers feature volume controls but can also be managed through bundled software. A microphone is also integrated.
PAO expects sales to fields such as multimedia presentations, gaming and Internet telephony. The list price is £139.
