Proxima shows multimedia notebook projector

Projector specialist Proxima today launched one of the UK's first multimedia notebook projectors and a high-end desktop projector.

The Lightbook (£4,000 + VAT) is a sub-5kg portable projector for PC and Macintosh mobile systems. It supports resolutions up to 800 x 600 and comes with 1-watt speakers and remote control. The unit ships from the end of October.

Proxima's Desktop Projector 4200 (£7,670 + VAT) is aimed at corporates and features Proxima's Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology which controls brightness across screens and supports projection up to 16.7 million colours, according to the firm. The unit has two video, one microphone and four stereo output ports. The 4200 also includes Proxima's LightBoard drawing software tool which allows on-screen annotation. The projector is available now.
