Semiconductor capex spending to decline 5% in 2005

IC Insights raised the forecast for 2005 worldwide semiconductor industry capital spending to a 5% annual decline, up from a 10% drop, but the expectations for 2006 were lowered a 7% annual decline. Previously the company had predicted a 1% annual decline in 2006.
