Spanish PC market grew 21.8% in Q3 2004

According to preliminary data from IDC, PC shipments grew by 21.8% in Spain in Q3 2004 compared with Q3 2003. Following a strong second quarter, the Spanish PC market ran at full steam with shipments in all form factors reporting double-digit growth. Increased enterprise spending boosted commercial desktop sales, as well as x86 server results. The momentum in the notebook market was well maintained as SMBs and consumers continued to display an insatiable appetite for mobile computing. Aggressive vendor competition and intense pressure on both commercial and retail channels have made these outstanding results possible.
