Sun Microsystems has seen revenues jump 60 per cent in its latest quarterly results compared to the same period last year.

Results for the quarter ending October 1st 2000 saw revenues up to $5.045bn quarter on quarter, with net income up 54 per cent to $510m from $276m from the corresponding year. In a prepared statement, Scott McNealy, CEO of Sun, said he was pleased with the demand for products and said the company will continue to invest in core technologies.
