TransGrid chief information officer Tony Meehan appears to have vacated his position, just six months after signing an extensive ICT outsourcing agreement with software and services company Mincom.
The NSW electricity wholesaler advertised Meehan's job this morning, giving prospective candidates less than two weeks to submit applications.
TransGrid owns and operates the NSW electricity network, facilitating the trading of energy between electricity producers and consumers.
The news comes just six months after Meehan dumped Fujitsu from TransGrid's IT supplier list, giving Mincom a greater slice of his company's IT spend. The new arrangements came into effect in October 2006.
At the time, Meehan told ZDNet Australia his company had medium-sized IT needs, with around 1,000 seats.
Meehan's replacement will report to TransGrid's general manager of Human Resources and Business Services.
