Y2kvirus.com aims to help distinguish fact from hysteria
Written by Will Knight, Contributor

Tokyo-based anti-virus company Trend Micro launched a new Web site dedicated to keeping an eye out for Y2K viruses on Thursday.

The new site, Y2Kvirus.com , offers information and support for concerned computer users about Y2K viruses, hoaxes and other Y2K-related security threats.

"Many customers are concerned about the potential one-two punch of viruses and Y2K and want to be sufficiently prepared. They also want some extra help deciphering among hype, hoaxes, and real threats," said Eva Chiang, CTO for Trend Micro.
