ViewSonic unveils 13.3" VNB131 ViewBook Pro with unusual battery option
Viewsonic has introduced their first ULV notebook, the VNB131 ViewBook Pro, a sleek laptop that has the potential for up to 12 hours of battery life.
Packaged in an aluminum alloy casing, Viewsonic has put together a fairly solid 13.3-inch notebook. The interesting feature on this is the battery upgrade option. The standard editions comes with a 6-cell battery that should provide up to 8 hours of operation plus DVD burner that can actually be removed. That DVD burner can be replaced with an extra 3-cell battery bumping up the lifespan to 12 hours.
It's an interesting move, and perhaps if you know you're going to be on a lot of long-haul flights, it might be worth it, but I'd also like to keep that DVD drive.
