Joel has consulted for Microsoft's Windows Mobile division, GTECH, and others and advises other companies on how to incorporate mobile into their existing brands and products. Welcome to our newest Mobile Gadgeteer, Joel Evans

I kicked off this blog in May of 2006 and have been trying to keep writing here and on the Smartphones & Cell Phones blog regularly to keep you updated with the latest news and reviews, but it is tough with a full time job too. Thankfully, ZDNet was kind enough to let me bring in a co-author to this blog who will be offering a different perspective and more in-depth analysis of the mobile landscape and I couldn't be happier. I started writing online for Geek.com in 2001 thanks to my friend Joel Evans giving me the chance to publish articles for his site. I am now pleased to have Joel joining me here on the ZDNet blog network and look forward to reading his articles and working with him on The Mobile Gadgeteer.
