£100 giveaway to keep Homebrew Blog cooking

The first thing people told us about our recent Homebrew Challenge was that it was great to hear from other enthusiasts about their home tech projects. The second thing was that they really appreciated being able to pick up tips, especially money-saving ones, what with the cost of components and all.

The first thing people told us about our recent Homebrew Challenge was that it was great to hear from other enthusiasts about their home tech projects. The second thing was that they really appreciated being able to pick up tips, especially money-saving ones, what with the cost of components and all. At ZDNet Towers, we are good listeners. So we're putting up £100 to grease the wheels of domestic techery.

It's all centred on the Homebrew Blog. Over the course of February, we'll follow the entries posted there, and the comments on them. The group blog, for those who haven't been there yet, is the place to show off their home-built tech projects. If your contribution catches our eye, and if you're a UK resident, you'll get a £100 gift voucher for the online component seller of your choice.

It isn't just a question of volume--you might just put up one post and win, if it's a cracker. There are all sorts of ways to go about it, what with video, photos, and making nifty suggestions via comments.

And if you're reading the group blog and want to argue for a member to win, just post a comment. We are, as ever, keen to get your feedback. So if you think this giveaway is a good idea, and if you think we should make it a monthly event, let us know that too. We're listening.
