Following yesterday's news that Seagate has found a way to increase hard disk capacity, Hitachi has reportedly made a technical breakthrough with RAM technology. It has, say sources, found a way to reduce the number of electrons needed to store a bit of information on a DRAM chip.
The company may now be able to deliver a 128Mb product by the end of the year.
