APC has unveiled a new set of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) machines. The Back-UPS Pro models are available with a variety of outlet and runtime configurations, and they also have a few new features not seen in previous editions.

The main purpose of these devices is to save power and provide enough energy to home offices/small businesses during a short-term power outage. That way there's little to no chance of data loss, depending on how serious the blackout is. A Back-Up Pro can have six to 10 outlets and provide energy for 92 to 164 minutes.

Two new features that should help squeeze as much power as possible out of a Back-UPS Pro are an LCD panel for monitoring the system's stats and automatic voltage regulation for conserving battery life and adjusting power to safe levels.

A release date hasn't been announced yet, but the price range is $129.99 and $249.99.
