Back in July, Apple announced the iPhone 4 free case program in an attempt to both appease customers and save its image following the drama of "Antennagate." Well, the program is nearing its official end date now, so hurry up and get one while you can.

According to the program website, the "iPhone 4 antenna attenuation issue is even smaller than we originally thought." Thus, anyone who has bought an iPhone or plans to buy an iPhone should plan to order the free case (like this Incase Snap Case) or bumper before September 30. After that, they'll only be handed out as a freebie on a case-by-case basis. If you sign up for AppleCare, it looks like your chances of still getting a free case will be better.

Furthermore, if you're one of the few who actually paid for a case or bumper prior to the launch of the program, you need to submit your application for a refund by the end of the month as well.

Don't forget, if you don't want to deal with any of this, you can still make your own bumper at home or just attach a sticker patch to the side. But seriously, who turns down a free case?
