Apple introduces new desktop line
Saying Apple Computer Inc. plans to start off 1999 "with a bang," interim CEO Steve Jobs introduced Macworld today by introducing a new line of professional desktop computers, running on 400 MHz G3 processors.

The new product replaces the first G3 line, introduced 14 months ago soon after Jobs took the helm of Apple. Jobs promised three more announcements for today.
