Apple has released update 10.6.3 for its Mac OS X, which has addressed various security and reliability issues for the operating system.

The update includes dozens of security fixes but has also aimed to repair some compatibility and usability features.

The issues that were addressed varied from fixing stuck or dark pixels when viewing a video to making the USB sticks from third-party providers work more reliably.

It tackled problems with Mail, QuickTime, printing, DNS, Bonjour, screen savers and OpenGL, parental controls, and renaming or deleting of files on SMB file servers, amongst other concerns.
