Apple's Watch is scheduled to appear in our stores after the Christmas rush, according to Apple Senior Vice President of Retail and Online Stores Angela Ahrendts.
As reported by 9to5Mac, the Apple executive stated the arrival date of the wearable to retail employees in a video message, of which the transcript was obtained by the publication.
Within the video, Ahrendts recommends that staff conserve energy for the upcoming — and likely busy — holiday season, commenting:
You guys were hired because you're the best in the world. And you know how to service customers, but we are sprinting a marathon right now, and it's not going to stop. Right? We're going into the holidays, we're going into the Chinese New Year, and then we've got a new watch coming in the spring.
The Apple Watch was unveiled in September. The three-model customisable watch, available with different kinds of straps and finishes, has a round-edge timepiece and sapphire glass display. The device is activated when the user's wrist is raised, and can be paired with Siri to display apps, images, call a contact or send them messages.

The iPad and iPhone maker said at the time of the unveiling that the product would be available in "early 2015," but until now, it remained to debate whether this would be before or after Valentine's Day. This vague time reference could indicate up until June, and thanks to Ahrendts's declaration, the launch date appears to be between this date and after Chinese New Year, which ends on 19 February.
When the Apple Watch launches, the fitness device will come up against the likes of Jawbone and Samsung's Gear Fit. However, Microsoft recently joined the fray by unveiling the $199 Band, a fitness-based wearable which includes a display, app support, UV sensor, GPS tracker and both temperature and heart rate monitors.
