April Fool jokes
As a rule I don't appreciate the inevitable rash of April Fool jokes. Perhaps it is a sign of age, or that I have lost my sense of humor, or simply overload.

As a rule I don't appreciate the inevitable rash of April Fool jokes. Perhaps it is a sign of age, or that I have lost my sense of humor, or simply overload. But this year I saw one that I really did appreciate and find amusing, from the Linux Mint developers.
I love the desktop - wouldn't it be fun to include that in the next distribution? Someone really put some thought into it - look at some of the details!
The best part, though, is the "emulation of Internet Explorer". That gave rise to some interesting thoughts, about putting 10+ years of bugs and security holes back into any one of the browsers commonly used on Linux.
Anyway, it was good for a chuckle.
