Big guns set Net training standard
IBM, Netscape, Novell and Sun Microsystems will band together for Internet and intranet training and certification next year.

The firms said yesterday that they plan to make the scheme a multi-vendor standard for technical support staffers. The consortium will appoint a third-party to administer the program.
The market for Internet services, software and products will be worth about $80 billion by 1998, the firms said in a jointly-issued press release.
