The Telegraph reports that former Star Trek star William Shatner has parted company with the online travel agent Priceline.com.

The enterprising actor owned 125,000 shares in the company in exchange for advertising work, and is thought to have dumped some 35,000 already. Shatner's voice was conspicuous by its absence in the latest Priceline advert, fuelling rumours that he has cut all ties with the company... The Financial Times reports that the Nasdaq has revealed its plans for taking over the London Stock Exchange. It hopes to make the LSE part of its worldwide 24-hour trading exchange, covering Asia, America and Europe. However, Nasdaq has warned that if talks don't bear fruit after a month, it will switch its attention to the LSE's arch rival, Frankfurt's Deutsche Börse... The Guardian carries the news that Serena Doshi is stepping down as chief executive of youth portal Liv4now.com. The company, which makes a profit by running online "communities" for third parties as well as running its own site, will be headed by 22-year-old co-founder, Ewan McLeod...
