Brennan scores work with hotel chain
Business-technology provider Brennan has won a three-year contract with hotel chain Rendezvous Hospitality Group (RHG) to upgrade the hotel group's IT systems and networks.
The "multimillion"-dollar project will be completed over a six-month period and includes the installation of software and a new property management system, according to Brennan.
Brennan will also install networks for 15 hotels and provide server hosting and management as part of its infrastructure solution. The hotel group, which has its headquarters in Sydney, employs 2500 people and operates in 11 cities across the Asia Pacific.
"This is one of the most comprehensive deals we have seen, with the final contract encompassing all aspects of our business," Brennan's managing director, Dave Stevens said in a statement.
Previously a smaller IT company was contracted to the Singapore-based hotels group. RHG chief, Iqbal Jumabhoy, said in the statement that the recently expanded company required a bigger IT provider to meet its needs.
"The project was more than a systems upgrade, we wanted an IT partner that could provide a fresh perspective on how we could run our business better," he said.
