Software provider CA to develop interoperable and integrated e-business applications for both Windows 2000 datacenter server and .net platform

HONG KONG - Software solutions provider Computer Associates has gone ahead with providing support for partner Microsoft's Enterprise 2000 server, as well as the Datacenter server version of Windows 2000.

Computer Associates (CA), will deliver its software and service solutions to develop, deploy, manage, optimize and control these new MS platforms.

CA will be concentrating its solutions on its traditional areas of expertise - enterprise management, predictive modeling, and neural agent solutions (what CA calls Neugents).

The solutions will involve integrated support across the Microsoft platform, and are aimed at offering CA customers with a migration path towards a future of "fully distributed, universally interoperable e-business applications".

CA launched iCan-ASP earlier on, a subsidiary that offers technologies for ASPs to provide applications through the Internet, wireless and broadband communications mediums.

The solutions provider is extending its Unicentre TNG enterprise management and eTrust security solutions in conjunction with Microsoft's release of the Windows 2000 Datacenter Server.

The company also announced it plans to extend itself in the areas of enterprise, web/network, security and application lifecycle management, as well as e-business intelligence using Neugents technology.

Also in the works is CA's Jasmineii portal that provides an e-business workplace for the .Net platform, enabling users to customize and personalize their Windows 2000 environments.
