Practising safe computing is the best way to avoid the latest virus threats, according to a security company.

Sophos Anti-Virus says the dangers of two new viruses - Navidad and Hybris - can be avoided if users are sensible in not opening emails containing unknown executable files. Graham Cluley, senior technologist at Sophos, said: "If users took on board this simple safe computing message, then viruses would spread about as well as frozen butter." However, the two viruses have been spreading across the USA and South America and the US Army has rated Hybris as 'high risk'. Some UK companies are known to have been affected. Information on the virus' can be found at the Sophos website: http://www.sophos.com By Geoffrey Davies
