Cell Phone Car Alarms By: Eric Everson, Founder of MyMobiSafe.com
The next time you pull your keyless entry keychain from your pocket, you may wonder how long it will be until technology changes everything about your automobile security. As seemingly everything has a future in the mobile revolution, you may be surprised to learn that automobile security has its eyes set on the mobile environment too.
In the not too distant future we may all be reaching for our cell phones to unlock car doors. With advances in mobile application development, this feature may be coming to a cell phone near you. As the founder of MyMobiSafe.com, I cannot help but to forecast that this technology migration will yield yet another dimension to cell phone security. As wireless service providers remain unconcerned with handset level security, cell phone protection remains in the hands of the individual cell phone user.
If you are not using a mobile security solution, someone can already use any number of available mobile spyware programs to monitor your phone. What does this vulnerability bring to automobile security and the bigger picture of rising international auto theft? If one can already access your phone because you do not have a firewall or mobile security solution, what is to keep them from gaining access to your car too? Perhaps auto insurance companies will foresee this hurdle as I do by requiring a mobile security solution or perhaps again… security will remain in the hands of the individual cell phone user.
I encourage you to try new mobile technologies, but be sure you are aware of your own level of mobile vulnerability first.
