CES 2009: Toshiba's 'wall-leaning' LCD TV concept [day 3]
I didn't get a chance to attend Toshiba's press conference, so I made sure to stop by their booth. Here's a strange conceptual design for a "lean against the wall" TV they had on display:It's supposed to remove the need for mounting hardware or a TV cabinet or stand, but I'm not sure that's a major problem that needed addressing.

It's supposed to remove the need for mounting hardware or a TV cabinet or stand, but I'm not sure that's a major problem that needed addressing. The company calls it lightweight and slim, and while I can certainly attest to the slimness, there's no way I'd ever have my mother move such a big unit.
What's also of note is that it incorporates a 256GB SSD for Full HD quality-recording. The wave of the future?
