The advertisement placed this week for the role noted that the CIO will report to DuluxGroup's chief financial officer, although it has not yet responded to a query about whether the role is a new one or whether a previous CIO has left.
The ad stated the new CIO "is required to lead DuluxGroup in the development and implementation of an appropriate IT strategy to leverage information technology as a competitive tool". It noted the CIO would lead a team of 30 staff, supporting a user base of around 1500.
"Your responsibilities will include ensuring the IT strategic plan meets the growth and business strategy of DuluxGroup; define policies, standards and architectures with a view to optimising service delivery, select, manage and control IT providers, develop a framework to measure and promote the effectiveness of IT within the business," it said. The company has revenues of around $1 billion and operates in six countries.
