Coal-fired battle continues in Kansas
The governor of the great state of Kansas doesn't appear ready to compromise with her legislature on building new coal-fired plants there. The latest reports indicate the current Republican-backed bill in the Knsas legislature will not be signed by the Democrat who is governor.

Last fall Kansas was the first state in the U.S. to turn down a coal-burning electricity plant because of global warming.
