If the nation upgrades to a smart grid that digitally controls the nation's infrastructure, could hackers break in and sabotage the power grid, water works or military?

If the nation upgrades to a smart grid that digitally controls the nation's infrastructure, could hackers break in and sabotage the power grid, water works or military?
A new 60 Minutes report shows that the U.S. isn't prepared for such a cyber attack -- which won't come with a bang, but a blackout.
