On 3 November 2011, ZDNet Australia was on hand to bring you the release of a new report on datacentres and cloud computing. The research, commissioned by Macquarie Telecom, is entitled "Datacentres that Power the Cloud — Not All are Created Equal", and was produced by Frost & Sullivan. The report looks at the current concerns of IT professionals with regard to datacentres, as well as at the changes that we can expect in this rapidly changing world of cloud computing.

To present the findings of this report, we broadcasted a live panel discussion from the launch. Led by ZDNet Australia's editorial director Brian Haverty, the event featured presentations from the following experts:

  • Arun Chandrasekaran — senior analyst, Frost & Sullivan
  • Dan Pointon — regional director, hurleypalmerflatt
  • Aidan Tudehope — managing director, Hosting, Macquarie Telecom

Additional questions and answers conducted after the live broadcast have now been included. To see these, please watch the second video.

Please note that there were a few technical difficulties during the live broadcast; we are, however, working to bring you a better on-demand version of the video.
