in brief Supply chain giant Brambles has appointed former Dell executive Dolph Westerbos as the group president of its pallet brand CHEP Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Westerbos was Dell's EMEA solutions and services vice president and has been working with the computing company since 2006. He will be starting in his role with Brambles in mid-April.

Current group president of CHEP Peter Mackie will take up a similar role with CHEP Asia-Pacific in early May.

"I am delighted to add an executive of Dolph's calibre to the Brambles (Executive Leadership Team)," said Brambles chief Tom Gorman in a statement released on Friday.

Prior to this management shuffle, the company created a CIO position last year.
